Hi, everyone! Today, I am going to talk about something very important. Today is International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

 

 

Violence can happen to all people, but statistically, violence happens to women more than any other gender.

 

 

Violence can come in any forms. We will talk more about them during this presentation.

 

 

My goals of this presentation are to teach you more about violence against women, raise awareness about the subject, unite us, and help enact change.

 

 

Here is a map of the places where the most violence against women occurs. For example, Africa, parts of South and Latin America have the highest rates of violence against women. In Spain, there is a high level of physical security for women, but this does not mean that there are no acts of violence against women in Spain. There still are many.

 

 

Here are some causes of violence against women around the world.

 

 

There are some statistics about women who experience violence against them.

 

 

Have you heard of these terms? I will explain them in English and you let me know if you don't understand. Some of them are a bit complicated.

 

 

Here are some statistics that are about the intersection of sexual orientation and violence. Statistically, non-heterosexual woman face are violated even more than heterosexual women.

 

 

There are many forms of violence. Some of them are: physical, sexual, emotional, and finantial.

 

 

Being a child bride means forcibly getting married before you are eighteen years old.

 

 

Now, I will show you some more facts and statistics.
